    Default User upload problem

When I click the upload button it takes me to the video upload (step 1 of 2) page. I complete the form. When i click the upload button i get a HTTP 500 Internal Server Error page.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Have you set permission of cgi-bin/ubr_upload.pl to 755 ?

755 error is due to perl script not working, can be due to wrong permission or perl is not enabled on the server.

I just double checked, and yes the file was set to 755. How do i check on the other items you mentioned? Is that thru my host, or thru vShare?

To see if perl script is working, directly access the script, if you get interneal server error, there is problem with permission or perl is not enabled for your site. What is the site url ?

ubr_upload.pl looks ok. Need to check the cpanel error log to see the reson or error. If server have some ddos protection module installed, repeated connection by progress bar will get blocked and show the error.

OK, i got iconv all set up. I can not get to the second step of the upload process. When i try to upload a video, it starts the upload, remains active for approx 10-15 min, then it just clears itself like i had never selected a video. Do I have some settings wrong or something? Any ideas?
