New Forum search not working well

What is going on with this new forum software? Either all the old messages are gone or the search does not work well at all. Try searching for words you know are here but you will not find much at all even with advanced search. Help. How do you make it work by searching the content of the discussion. Most people don't put in tags so searching by tags only is not great (just like in vshare tags are useless).
PS I just put in 4 words in my tags and it was too long - 25 characters max!!!!
