For Google Search Results, IMAGE Should come...

Hi Friends,
well I have one request,
when some of our video gets displayed at google search results then there need to be a thumbnail image for our respective video which appeared at the search page...

have a look at this link http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&sa ... ad&spell=1

you find an image for this website http://www.metacafe.com/watch/371558/motorazr/

well they do it with this process, I mean on the head tags they add this line

<link rel="image_src" href="http://www.metacafe.com/thumb/371558.jpg" />

if this can be done dynamcially at our video script then this is going to work out.

Top two results from from YouTube, it do not have such a tag.

I hope for google video and youtube results, google might be using some internal techniques for the thumbnails, and that is also quite possible.

But metacafe.com was a third part website, and has a thumbnail view, so after observing the html code of that website I got to know that, its using the above tag to get appear the thumbnail image of the relevant video.

Neways but i am not much sure, if this is going to work out, still I have done an experiment with one of my page using this tag, hope it takes some time to be figured out at google for the relevant keywords, lets see if works out.

Ok, lets see if that works. I think google identify big video sites and show pictures from them.

I made a search for

http://www.google.com/search?q=rel%3D%22image_src%22

But no results, if it was standard, there will be some pages on web about it.

This is an eye-catching way to get listed in the search results, if it can be done, we should definitely incorporate it. Has anyone got any more info on whether this code insert works in getting thumbnails to show in the search results for their site?
