Email subject lines?

I can't seem to find where the email subject lines are stored. How do we change them? I don't see them in the email templates anywhere.

Subject of mails are stored in database, you can edit them in admin area.

Admin > Email Settings > Email Templates

No, the SUBJECT LINES aren't stored there, only the bodies.

I tried once to change the subject in the database, and for some reason that caused problems. Didn't realize the admin area would edit something that wasn't on the templates
