Increase channel width / columns

I want to increase the number of columns from 4 to 5 or 6 in the CHANNELS page. Can anyone advice me on how to do this, please?

Edit the channels.tpl file in template folder .Findout the following

{if $smarty.section.i.index mod 4 eq "0" and $smarty.section.i.index gt "0"}

Change index mod 4 to index mod 6

It also made the web page larger and not so cute. The images are now packed together. How can I make the chanell images smaller?

in channels.tpl line 16 change the numbers in alt="channel" width="120px" height="90" to whatever you want.
