Script crops the video

Hi,

Is there anyway to get the script to resize all videos in the same way?

Below are two different videos:

I have to keep stretching the width and length for each so I can see the subs in each video. However stretching the length allows me to view the subs in one video, but then cuts off the subs on the sides for the other video. So if I increase the width it then cuts of the subs on the opposite sides. So basically I can't find a way to get both videos to be resized to the same width and length so it shows the whole video and doesn't crop. Or crops but crops very little. Thanks!

try adding

-vop scale=640:480

to the end of your mencoder command in video_conversion.php

that will set the hight and width to that value for all vids....if that is what you are after.

use -vp instead of -vop if you use the new mencoder

Do you have that command for FFMpeg instead? I use FFMpeg instead since Mencoder does a lousy job at converting large files.

no i've not really looked into the ffmpeg side of things. you should be able to find out here though http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/

also why do you think mencoder does a bad job on large files....i've tested some files around 100mb and they look better when converted by mencoder
