This can be done by editing the Flash Player. You need to know Flash to do this.
There is a gif called loading_graphic.gif under templates\images. I believe flash is pulling this image in. You can try to edit this video (animated gif) and see if it will work for you :)
Nope that graphic is supposed to be the uploading graphic, that actual graphic you want to change is inside the player.swf
