Im planning on making some banners to promote my other site
(or perhaps a paid banner on one side)
So I would just like to know a few things...
1) Is it possible to put banners on the far left/Right of the pages
(standard vshare template)
2) If it is, how? (im new to this)

If yes, you need to modify the index.tpl fil in template folder.

You need to put the advt code like {insert name=advertise adv_name='home_right_box'} in your modified template
for showing banners left/Right of the pages
If you added the code you can manage the advt through admin area.
how about a right and left sidebar in the index page? is it possible?
You can add the advertisement by editing th index.tpl fine in template folder.
