Adding Site Statistics To Index Page

Does anyone know the procedure for adding the Site Statistics to the main page?

Actually, I meant the Site Statistics. I want to add the following to the main page of the VShare Clone site:

Number of Videos: 34
Number of Public Videos: 34
Number of Private Videos: 0
Number of Users: 17
Number of Channels: 24
Number of Groups: 0

I tried adding the variables as shown in the Administration section, but nothing came up. I am thinking I need to modify the code. Not sure what to do.

Can someone help me?

I can see how that could be kind of neat to have.

"We currently have ## members sharing ### videos"

But I probably wouldn't do it until a site is well populated.

We have done this, i will post a upgrade today.
