Limit number of videos uploaded per user
Hello,
Is there a way to limit the number of videos each registered member can upload? I notice on the "System Settings" page there is a Guest limit number ("20000000000" by default). Is this the amount in bytes in total that a user can upload, or is it the total amount in bytes a user can upload over a certain period (like 24-hours)? I am looking for a way to restrict uploads to 10 videos per user.
Thanks,
Scott.
Re: Limit number of videos uploaded per user
not its not...enable packages if you want to do it
Re: Limit number of videos uploaded per user
Ok thanks,
Just one other thing. The quoted space allowance for packages (for example 1.95GB for Copur), is this the maximum for uploaded source video files, or the total of the converted FLV video files?
Thanks,
Scott.
Re: Limit number of videos uploaded per user
The guest limit in admin panel is the SECONDS that a person can view before they have to sign up.

source files....space and bandwidth is calculated from the orginal source files.

Re: Limit number of videos uploaded per user
.
Our freebie accounts permit users to view unlimited clips for exactly 180 days.
How does unlimited work? Easy ... 180 days x 24 hours x 60 minutes x 60 seconds = 15552000
That's how many "seconds" of video watching people can do for free ... exactly 180 days worth.
You can apply the above principle to your own video portals in determining how much video can be watched for free. To us it made sense to permit as much time as the trial account will permit, translated from the amount of available free days.
Cheers.
