Hello friends,
I'm new in video uploading n stuff. I need to know how you guys download videos from youtube or other video sites to your computer.As the download options are often not available from these sites but only the links.
I would very much appreciate your help.

If you are using PHP 5, you will be able to download video from youtube and dailymotion.
Go to Admin > Import Video
Then put the video url (same as provided by youtube or dailymotion), for youtube, it should be in the format
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OFLFBK5JrA
Then, if you have cronjob running, vshare will download the file and add it to your site in next 10 minutes. 2 cronjob run is needed for a file download + process.

It was helpful anyway. But what I was talking about was, the way how I could download videos from video sharing sites directly to my pc. Any softwares or scripts required for this do to it?

Use Fire Fox and Get GreaseMonkey htne there a quite afew scripts that integrate downloading right into the browser
