2.4 email verification problem

When using email verification, you can sign up with a bogus (fake) email address and when it asks you to confirm the email...you click confirm....but then you can still view the videos without being logged in (even with guests set to 0). You cannot upload or do anything else but you can definitely view the videos! This is something that needs to be fixed because I think if you aren't email verified, you are still a guest, and on my site guests cannot view videos but unverified guests can view the videos....
