Group bugs

I've been having a mess around in the groups section and found the following problems:

HTML code is allowed in group names, description, tags, new topics etc and can be abused to mess up the page.

Viewing the groups by "Most Topics" displays them all with no group name in the URL.

when creating a new topic if you leave the "attach a video" as "- your videos -" or "- you favorite videos -" then the new topic will have a broken video attached to it.

When editing a group you forgot the </a> at the top where "Edit Group: {name}" is. This makes the whole form a link in opera and thus wont allow you to do changes.

when creating a group if you use a name for the "unique group name URL" that is already taken it will give you the error "Please provide unique part of url." This error should be changed so the user knows that it already exists and should choose something else instead.

in the Admin area in "All Groups" clicking on any of the numbers listed under "Video, Member, Topics" gives an error "Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in......"

found some more problems with groups.

The add_favour.tpl file has tags hard coded into it!! (see pic)

clicking the page number takes you to http://video.bizhat.com/ufavour.php?UID ... ge=1&type= which does not exist.

going to Group Videos or Group Members pages and clicking the page number 1 removes the group name from the URL and so clicking the other links then cant find the urlkey name.

Private videos should not be allowed to be posted in groups as no one can view them (unless they are a friend but most of the people in the group would not be)

In "add_video.php" you need to change it so that /templates/head_bottom/grouplinks.tpl should be included instead of /templates/head_bottom/homelinks.tpl to keep inline with the rest of the group pages and so that "My Favorites" isn't listed twice.



Is anyone using groups with Vshare? i would want to when my site goes live but with the amount of bugs in it currently i dont think its going to work. :(

In the group topics the last post time starts back at 0 hours once it has passed 24 hours and doesn't go into days, so a post done 5 days ago would still say posted 3 hours ago or something.

new topics should go to the top of the list when created or when posted into.

If you try to remove a member from a group you get "Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/mysite/public_html/gmembers.php on line 41"

On the invite members page the bit at the top where you can add your friends usernames by clicking the ADD or ADD ALL buttons does not email them or invite them.

Also i see most videos are posted during 1969 so maybe get the script to read the current day.

When I try to create a group, the whole entire page just goes WHITE.....nothing on it. Any clue what is going on there?

Someone check it out for me if you have time....go to http://www.coldblooded.tv and try to create a group. After creating the group, or trying to, the whole page turns white. I can't figure it out.

Zeffer, if you get time could you try and create a group on my page and see what happens? Thanks Buddy!

I really appreciate you taking the time to help me and everyone else on this board. I finally was able to create a group myself but was unable to add more than one vid to it. Admin, can we assume the groups will be totally revamped (fixed) in the next update?
