Help needed please

Ok i am a web designer who is designing a landing page in html for my client who has purchased this script.

In my knowledge html has always overrighted php but when i upload the html page it still goes to php, i have even put DirectoryIndex index.html in the .htaccess file but that doesnt work.

Can anyone help me as i am drawing nothing on this

I'm assuming you want to have a kind of "enter here" kind of page before they get to vshare script? If so, I suggest putting vshare into a subdirectory. I'm not entirely sure you can have two index pages in the same directory and have them both work...or maybe it's some kind of setting in cPanel where you tell it the default file extention? Make .html the default in cPanel? Would that work?

Also, check the htacess file that comes with vshare, part of what you describe sounds like something driven by the .htacess.
