More: Hosting for the script:
This is to ensure that i can easily set up the site on my existing Web host which doesnt have the ffmpeg and other ones..
Re: Hosting for the script:
I don't understand why anyone would want to use vShare if the only person who can upload is the owner...which is pretty much what the niche video script is for (since you can control what videos get put on there through the keyword thing..and if you don't want ppl to see other types of videos, just remove the search box (which is what I had to do to keep ppl from using my site to search for porn).
Last I checked, vShare script has certain requirements and if your webhost doesn't have the requirements, then the script won't work...but my guess is that if you're only doing the embed thing and using the already existing thumbs from the already existing embedded video, then I don't see why it wouldn't work...but for 10.00 why not try and see what happens? You won't be out much and if it turns out it doesn't work, then get hosting that has all the requirements and then knock yourself out with this fantastic script! Give infrenion a try on their shared hosting to start, just to check out vShare. I use them and I'm on shared and I have never been happier with with a shared hosting solution. See my sig for details.
Re: Hosting for the script:
is it true that the Youtube niche script doesnt store anything and just fetches the data instantly when users search something??
Does this mean there will be no search engine based traffic coming to a site based on this script?
Re: Hosting for the script:
As opposed to this one, in the $10 script, we can store the video embed links into the database. Hopefully get some search engine traffic.

The best way to get video links into a search engine is with a sitemap. You can add a sitemap to any site no matter what script they are using or how the links are being stored. Youtube is owned by Google, and you often see youtube links on Google search results. I have yet to come across a video link from any site other than youtube.
If you don't want people uploading video, then you are looking at the wrong type of script. What you really ought to do is use blog software. Then you can post your videos, people can comment on them (if you allow comments) but no one can post video but you. Much easier to set up and maintain than a video sharing portal.

Thanks for replying mersh
Regarding the youtube niche script:
I want to say that assume the youtube systems are down for a moment, will the users of youtube niche script based website be able to fetch videos??
Is this script a youtube search engine which stores the results for a keyword? like bollywood sargam video search engine which stores a lot of video results and is often seen in google results.
The youtube clone script:
You said that a blog is better for me. But there is a problem i have. I want my site to function just like youtube or other videos site but i want only embeded videos for avoiding high bandwidth costs and copyright issues. I want related videos thumbnails, beautifully displayed categories, popular videos, what others are watching and so on.. I dont want to make a million but i will be happy with little bucks..
Re: Hosting for the script:
I use a sitemap for my niche video scripts by going to http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/
For using vShare as you would a blog (embed only), so that it acts like youtube dispite the fact that your host doesn't have all the requirements, why not just get it and try it?
I think what I'll do is get a cheap hosting account, sign up for a month, and try it myself just to see what happens.
