anyone setup a remote encoding server yet?
Hey all,
was wondering if anyone has been able to setup a remote encoding server? So you have a main site someone uploads a video, server2 kicks in ( by cronjob or whatever ). converts the video and webserver shows the video and doesnt have a big load.
Reason why i ask is when multiple ppl encode i notice the main page nearly dies. If ya installed it or know how to install it please let me know will even donate for it if u want.
Regards, MrStinky.

For what i know vshare have very little support for external server, and only to host the flv, not to convert.

hmmm i there must be other ppl who have problems when mplayer is encoding the vids that the site isnt reach able? when a big movie gets encoded cpu flies to 100% and no http requests can be done.
If someone knows how to make a remote encoding server or has done it for himself, and will help me make one too i dont mind to pay for it.
