For swiping ... DEFAULT invisible USER

Good morning. I think this would not only be a good idea, but something that's really needed.
Considering the fact that there are companies which allow you to "swipe" videos legally in order to stock up the video portal, I think there's a real need for a "default user" to whom swiped videos can be automatically assigned. This can even be an "invisible" user! What I mean by that, is that this user is embedded in the code and hard coded in a way where others (visitors) can't access the account in order to look at the profile. This default user could even have a default name, something like: swipepro

Example: I install vshare, join a swipe membership online, and then set up 250 videoclips to show up through the default user, swipepro. Visitors to the site can see that user swipepro has 250 videoclips under "his or her" name. But when a visitor clicks on the user in order to view the profile data, a message pops up with text similar to: "Sorry, this user account can't be viewed publically!"

This should be pretty easy to include since everything is hard coded without any additional user configurable options. As a matter of fact, I think it would be easy enough to implement that perhaps even 3, 4, or 5 such default users can be set up, in order to disperse videoclips even better if the portal owner plans on swiping in excess of 1000 clips. In the admin panel, something like:

Topic: Videoswiping
Action: Select default user for swiping
Choices: swipepro --- cliphorde --- megalib --- massivevid --- gobbleup

Then, in the swipe menu of your account with company like videoswiper, you could set up such users with your existing videoportals default admin email addresse. Perhaps some minute coordination would have to be done with the swiping companies, but I'm sure this entire thing would be pretty simple to do, and with the possibility of swiping, a real neccessitiy to have.

This is a nice idea and....Until admin makes this a feature, in the meantime, we can redirect people to certain pages with .htaccess---

The user pages are "virtual" and the format is always http://yourdomain.com/joeblow

So, in .htaccess you could put something like this:

Redirect 301 /joeblow http://yourdomain.com/joeblowerrorpage.php

What makes you think any of that is legal? It's all entirely illegal copyright violation. Even YouTube is comprised largely of stolen videos.

I think it has to do with the fact that the videos don't actually reside on your server, but rather are being referenced to a video that resides elsewhere (using the object embed thing). It wouldn't be copyright violation since you aren't claiming ownership and the watermark of the referenced video remains intact (videos grabbed from youtube will have the youtube logo on it).

Video Swiper is like having a Niche Video script on steroids.
