I have just installed VShare and I had no problems at all. Now that I have it set up how can I stop uploadig videos to the host that its installed on and only use the extra servers I add. I am on a limited hosting package and dont wanna use up its storage and space.
So if you could tell me how to only have FLV's added to the extra servers that would be great.
In the admin panel under the "Server" option (located at the bottom), add a second server to vShare. When you do this, all new videos will be added to the new server and not the main server.
Unless the new server goes offline for whatever reason. Then videos will go back to the default server until the new one comes back online.
Also note that there's no point in adding a lot of different servers. It will only use the most recent one to be added.
Ok thats great. Can I ask when you will be adding load balance?
Good luck getting an answer for that. I have not heard the developers mention anything about load balancing in the coming release. It may not be for a while.
