I am away from the computer for a few days
If anyone is trying to contact me about anything, I need to let y'all know I'll be away from the computer for a few days. My husband suffered a heart attack and I am attending him at the hospital. I expect to be back home with him by Tuesday Nov 31 and get back to regular routine. Thanks for your patience and understanding. Joyce

Re: I am away from the computer for a few days
Thank you everyone for your well wishes, I passed them on to my hubby. We are back home and so far all is well. He still has another artery that's 90% blocked, which they want to clear in January.
If you're going to have a heart attack, the Pacific Northwest is the best place to have it happen. The response time of the ambulance, the ER and the actual procedure to clear the blockage and end the attack all took place in just over 2 hours. Damage to his heart muscle was teeny tiny since major damage usually occurs between 4 and 6 hours after the onset of the attack.

Grynmoors, somehow I just saw this for the first time.... will be praying for you and your husband. Best wishes to you both, and feel free to call / email if you need to just talk. Glad he's home and doing better. Good for you guys to spend some time together.
I haven't had my heart attack yet, but it's good to know that the Pacific Northwest is a good place to do it. Of course from a Canadian perspective it's the southwest but I won't quibble.... Actually the Canadian health care system feels just like the American one, except I've never waited more than 20 minutes to see a doctor at an ER or in his office. I don't live in a major hub though, so maybe that has something to do with it.
