Is there a setting the when you click onto the (Watch) button that it goes strait to the detailed View, not the basic view.

You can set this by editing header.tpl file.

How it the (header.tpl) file Do you change the option?

Download the file, it is in templates folder, open the file in text editor (or html editor) and replace the recent link with detailed link.
