Hi Galnet, Is it possible to have this script handle other things similar to this. Like say Featured Pictures, or Featured Blogs, and have them in rows all cycling at the same time, yet displaying different information? I'm interested in purchasing but would need it to do that; awesome work btw, you should really be recognized for this achievement
looks fantastic.
question...
can it be sliced up or configured to display only 2 images wide instead of 5 ??
I want to put multiple instances on the same page, pulling from various sources of data.
please advise
I have a fistful of cash for the right answer!
cheers
How can I change the color of the text Videos Being Watched Right Now... ?
Thanks for any help!
I would like to have the video titles show all the time -- not just on mouse over.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Just PM'd you with payment details for a copy of the script.
TIA

The "Videos being watched now..." mod is an addon developed by a forum member. I think it is an awesome addition and well worth the money. I do agree that it would be awesome if admin and galnet could work something out to include by default however the cost of the vshare script would surely increase.
Jereme
Payment sent! I look forward to using your script.
Galnet I just bought your script. I just cant seem to get it working for some reason. Is there a trick on this? My website is blissfind.net I just sent you an e-mail explaining more of my problem. Please help me. I would love to get this script working.
Hello,
This is an wesome script, however there's something strange going on. I can see the videos being watched right now on my pc , but it is not showing up on my Mac computer (firefox)
The weird thing is that on the Mac, the script is showing up on other sites that have been posted as examples on this forum.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
This guy is unreal, he ordered the script via paypal, and received it, but what does he go and do? Reports me to PayPal for not sending it to him, demanding a refund. I've spoken to PayPal on the phone today and they take fraud seriously. This guy is simply trying to pull a fast one, which isn't going to happen.Quote:

Word of warning to anyone, DO NOT ACCEPT a copy of the script from him.. the script sends replies back to my server and allows me to check for legit versions! Illegal versions may contain MySQL errors or allow for a MySQL injection code to be passed, and allow a hacker to gain instant access to your webserver.. Do not take the risk for $15...!
Also for the time being I will be unable to supply updates, my laptop which contains a large section of the coding for this script is currently being repaired, it took a nasty tumble down my stairs! Support will be limited throughout this period.

Some people just don't want to spend the extra $.
Tell you what, it's a pain, we work hard coding and designing for someone to try and rip us off. We do these things to help improve an already hard to improve script.. and it feels sometimes it's just not worth the hassle anymore! Oh did you notice your tag has www, instead of www. ?
Cheers for the support.
Mat.
Sheesh, thanks for the heads up. It's been a long day.Quote:

Does anyone one have a similar script that would work on PC and Mac and also supported by the script creator? -- at least where they don't ignore your questions after you've paid for it.
I'll be glad to pay to have this work -- so much time has been wasted trying to get it to show up on Macs and galnet has ignored my requests for help.
Thanks
Hmm... EDIT - Duplicate post for some reason.
I'm not trying to defend galnet (ok maybe I am), but SWF files are universal. The compatibility depends on your browser. For example, your server either runs LINUX or Windows. So it's not your local OS that makes it not show.Quote:

Chances are, you need to update your flash player.
If galnet's demo worked (i.e you can see it on other sites) then it's the code you're using on your site. Make sure you use BOTH the <object> and <embed> tags, as some browsers won't show it right (including Internet Explorer) without both tags.
If you are not seeing it at all, then check you uploaded the file in the right place. (I.E http://www.site.com/file.swf) and make sure your EMBED and OBJECT tags point to "file.swf" not "folder/file.swf".
If none of this helps, PM me and I will get it working for you.
Thanks a lot ptube, I'll try your suggestions. I'm using firefox, and as I said, it's visible on other websites. I followed all instructions in the Readme file and have been baffled for weeks.
I'll give it another shot.
cheers.
This is driving me nuts. It shows up on the pc. On other sites, it shows up on the Mac, but not on my site. I've been struggling with this for over a week. :(
Here's the code copied from the readme file:
Code:<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,0" width="550" height="140" id="recently viewed videos" align="middle">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
<param name="movie" value="recentplayer.swf?x=recentlyviewed.php&t=Videos Being Watched Right Now..." />
<param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" />
<embed src="recentplayer.swf?x=recentlyviewed.php&t=Videos Being Watched Right Now..." quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="550" height="140" name="recently viewed videos" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />
</object>
<script language="JScript" type="text/jscript" src="{$baseurl}/js/ClickFix.js"></script>
Hi,
I try my hardest to reply to all support requests, please note that I have a life as well. The coding has been sucessfully installed onto over 50 websites, so I can't really understand why you are having issues.
What I would suggest you try is in the coding replace:
Change this toQuote:
<script language="JScript" type="text/jscript" src="{$baseurl}/js/ClickFix.js"></script>
Changing the part: http://www.yourdomain.com to your actual domainQuote:
<script language="JScript" type="text/jscript" src="http://www.yourdomain.com/js/ClickFix.js"></script>
I was currently waiting on my laptop being repaired or replaced which has now happened, so I will be starting work on a newer version within the next few days.
Is all else fails try the code below: This is still in testing!
Quote:
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,0" width="550" height="140" id="recently viewed videos" align="middle">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
<param name="movie" value="recentplayer.swf?x=recent.php&t=Videos Being Watched Right Now..." />
<param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" />
<embed src="recentplayer.swf?x=recent.php&t=Videos Being Watched Right Now" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="550" height="140" name="recently viewed videos" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />
</object>
Hmmm... now the new code works on mac but is weird on PC...
cheers!
Anyone get this code working on Version 2.6???

One small minor change. the reference to recent.php > recentlyviewed.phpCode:<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,0" width="550" height="140" id="recently viewed videos" align="middle">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
<param name="movie" value="recentplayer.swf?x=recentltviewed.php&t=Videos Being Watched Right Now..." />
<param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" />
<embed src="recentplayer.swf?x=recentlyviewed.php&t=Videos Being Watched Right Now" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="550" height="140" name="recently viewed videos" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />
</object>
Works like a charm!

OK I noticed just a small mistake in the above code this has now been fixed, and I'm pleased to say that the code below should work for all version of vShare and Firefox:
