vShare 2.3 Release: 20070730
If you are using vShare 2.2 Release: 20070712, you can upgrade to vShare 2.3
If you are using older version, you must first upgrade to version vShare 2.2 Release: 20070712 before upgrading to vShare 2.3
Before upgrading take a backup of your site including database. If you are not familiar with installing scripts or upload in BINARY mode, don't do it yourself, get some one else to do this for you.
Updating files and Templates
To upgrade, download
http://www.buyscripts.in/vshare/vshare_ ... pgrade.zip
Upgrade will overwrite existing files that have been changed from last release. So if you made changes in templates, you need to make the changed in the modified templates. You can compare two files using WinMerge.
Unzip and upload all files and folder to your server in BINARY mode. Overwrite existing files.
After all files are properly uploded, run the upgrade script by visiting the url
http://yourdomain.extn/install/upgrade.php
Delete install folder after upgrade is finished.

MAJOR PROBLEM- viewing vids prompts signup with BAD LINK!!!!
1- in NON-FREE mode when a user clicks videos ANYWHERE via any page, they are directed to signup.php in the wrong directory. all videos do this unless signed in as a member. the link to signup at the top of the page goes to correct directory as in http://www.mysite.com/VSHARE/signup.php - BUT NOT ON THE VIDEOS- it is reflecting wrong directory. The wrong URL http://www.mysite.com/signup.php - it disregards the "vshare" directory. This is a HUGE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP FAST!
I DID SAY HHHHUUUUUUUGGGGGGEEEEEEE right?!!?!?!?!?!?!
unless I'm a TOTAL IDIOT (i am up late doing this conversion...) and am missing something.... i just went to PAID only a couple days ago and had no problem til this version. For the not so faint at heart check it out http://www.mystriptease.net- WARNING- extremely explicit adult material!!!!
2. Last version and this new 2.3 - any page OTHER THAN index the top advertisement banner comes up as a bad link- ie:
viewing properties of the banner shows "http://mysite.com/vshare/view/91/_images/banner_name.jpg" --- where "/view/91/" is inserted to screw up the URL to the adv banner... but viewing source of the page it shows
"

"
it only gives these problems on a video viewing page- all other pages works fine.
3. Followed all instructions for upload bar- (WHICH WAS DESPERATELY NEEDED AND WILL BE A GREAT FEATURE)http://forums.buyscripts.in/viewtopic.php?t=981 (with and without mersh's additional obvious suggestions --to which admin has not responded--)- with his suggestion and without- no status bar shows- but upload does work with no problems or redirection. Am hosting at Hostonnet- are they setup for this? Asking here because their CS leaves ALOT to be desired...
is there anyway to add only upload progress bar??
Please help!
As to change too many files is scary!
Thanks

Check the /include/config.php and make sure the "basedir" is set correctly.

I'm having the same issue, but atleast the uploads still work without any apparent errors.
This is my third upgrade and I'm not had any issues other than the current progress bar issue. Unless you have done tons of edits to your code, then the simply uploading of the new files over the old, and then doing the upgrade.php step should be all that's needed. Except for going back and sweeping up.

Have you thought about hiring someone to install this for you? It maybe good to have some fresh eyes.
