admin can we have a list of features that will be in 2.6 and will there be a beta?
Can you confirm the following are in 2.6:
1) Emailing from vshare fixed viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1636
2) Able to use mplayer for taking thumbs instead of ffmpeg viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1914
3) reported bugs fixed
Is support for other charsets will be added in 2.6 ?
Will the video blog feature you said would be in the next version be in this version?
nothing yet?
Will the new version balance my checkbook and change my engine oil?
thank you for whatever improvements are coming....
is it possible for you to annouce the fixes, updates & New Features will be included in this version?
Thanks
Dave
Any type of change log would be a welcomed improvement, particularly if it is going to include css updates or changes to the template files.
any updates?
Admin!
Do you really bother to reply?
I was busy with the works, almost everything is ready, still need few more code verifications. Once everything is ready to go, i will update the thread.
Thank you for the effort, I was wondering if this problem
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2193
is also fixed in the new version, because this is really show stopper for large number of views and large number of tags.
Yes, that is done, tags have its own table, so only need to display from table when needed.
Few other new features are allow users to import video from youtube (video will be hosted at youtube), multi server support (allow you to add web servers with FTP, so converted FLV files will stored in these servers, which don't need ffmpeg or any other software installed.)
I think we will be able to have the demo site up today or tomorrow if there is no further bugs identified.
great to hear about multi server support....wasn't expecting that in 2.7 :)
soon as the demo is up i'll do some bug/problem hunting ;)
Multi server support... fantastic, that's really going to save me money I don't have to get another dedicted host now.
Is there any new information for the release of version 2.6?
Oh yeah, that was top of the list - hosting on another server. Admin, will we be able to move what we have there or just new ones? Batch move?Quote:

Sounds like a feature packed update and I am happy you were not responding - very busy cleaning. Good man.

This is an incredible feature. And thank you very much for putting together the change log as well. That is a very big help.Quote:

I'm still on version 2.4 because I didn't want to have to re-edit every page of the site again, but with these new changes, I think it's worth the hassle. It looks like it will really only be a big job this one time as long as all the future updates are handled in this manner.
If you have lot of modification, just wait some time, so we will be able to add more features and bug fixes. With next 1 or 2 release, vshare will be more stable and there won't be much changes in templates. This version have lot of template modifications (we try to minimize the changes) as we have rewritten many of the codes.Quote:
