Hello, i have uploaded the script without any problems, but the videos will not load. I've had the exact same problem with c.l.ip.s.h.ar.e and had the host reinstall all modules 3 times already. I am getting really frustrated with this. Is there any admin here i can pay like $10 and can resolve this problem for me? I don't know what to do, my host claims everything is installed, but the damn videos will not load.

Which host you use ? You will be able to see ffmpeg-php in your phpinfo.
For conversion command, you need to run it from a PHP script. Details available at Video not getting converted to flv
I have a dedicated server at galaxysolutions. I dont know whats at fault the modules or my installation? Im checking php info

There is problem with your mencoder/ffmpeg.
Ask your server provider to run the convert command on command line, so they can see the error and fix it.

By default, the image format of `file' is determined by its magic
number. To specify a particular image format, precede the filename
with an image format name and a colon (i.e. ps:image) or specify the

convert: option requires an argument `-view'.
A video file is located at /home/userdir/public_html/video/dream_kelly_on_bed.wmv if you would like us to convert this file give us the exact command you would like run.
convert is ImageMagic, can only work on Images.
To convert video, you need program called mencoder/ffmpeg.
If you have mencoder installed, you will able to convert video into flv with following command on SSH

Ok, I think I have figured this out. When the script convers a video, it executes the following command.

and when I type which ffmpeg I get the following out put.
[root@server ~]# which ffmpeg
/usr/local/bin/ffmpeg
It appears this is installed in a directory not compatible with the script. If I run the ollowing I actually get a reply.

MPlayer was compiled without libmp3lame support.
-lameopts is not an MEncoder option

Just to eliminate the question, lame is installed.

i think you may have to reinstall MEncoder with lame support, may be wrong though since have not had to install the requirments on my server, but i have read lots on doing it in the past.

You need to reinstall mplayer with -lameopts support.
You can use ffmpeg instead of mencoder if you need. To change to ffmpeg, see

I am looking into the Libvorbis error now and hoping that will resolve the problem.
your was doing the same thing as mine turns black and then never loads. admin said it was my permissions. change that and it started working.
What permissions did you have to change? Was it the permissions on the actual video file or on the folder the video was stored in?

Thanks for the help. Iploaded a new file, ran the covert command and the other command as requested. Here is the output for that last command. That file was created and here is te output.

I'm having the same problem. Look at your /vshare/templates_c/debug.txt file, and see if it shows (anywhere) the mencode command line that you've been issuing, and let me know if it's showing up in your debug file.
