Plz make the AJAX Star ratings code public

Dear admin,

The recently updated (v2.6) AJAX star ratings system is a pretty excellent feature, so terrific work and thanks for that!
However, I was wondering if you may please make the code public or allow us to make changes to it through a configuration file? This code in the source seems to be creative commons (at least the JavaScript and AJAX functions). It would be very helpful for future customizations.

On the short term, or, if you feel strongly about keeping that part encoded with Zend, could you please help me to fix mine by removing the word cast?
I would like it to read:
