.htaccess problem, and pages not loading because of it.

When ever I have the .htaccess file in the directory the whole directory does not load.


I have a problem with links and pages not loading, which i think is directly related to me not having a htaccess page in my directory. I am no linux newbie, but I have never used a .htaccess file, do i put this in my apache settings. I host my own webservers, any help would be appreciated.

I get an "Internal Server Error" with the .htaccess in the same file as vshare but when I take it out "delete it " it gives me no error but links dont work right.
and videos Iclick dont work right.

also has anyone requested google analytics as a built in plugin or feature.?

Have you modified .htaccess file ?

Try removing some times and see which line in .htaccess file create the problem.

If you have cpanel, check the error log button, it will provide details of error.

You need to insert google analytic code ? If that is what you need, add it in footer advertisement box.

i didnt really know how to use the .htaccess file.

i will mess with it. i just need to get this off the ground i have people wanting to submit videos


i have full access to all my error logs its my own personal webserver on a dedicated connection.
