    Default vShare 2.1 Release: 20070625

If you are using vShare 2.1 Release: 20070530, you can upgrade to vShare 2.1 Release: 20070625

If you are using older version, you must first upgrade to version vShare 2.1 Release: 20070530 before upgrading to vShare 2.1 Release: 20070625.

Before upgrading take a backup of your site, so if you done any mistake, you can restore from backup.

    install/vshare-upgrade-20070530-20070625.sql

    Default I'm new to this

    Hello,

I'm pretty new to this upgrade thing and want to make sure I'm doing it right.

I have Cpanel for my website control panel.

So in Cpanel under File Manager I upload the files in their appropriate places.

Is there a fast and easy way to do this. Right now all I can see is that I have to upload them one by one. Anyone know of another faster way to upload them into Cpanel.. remember I'm kinda a noob..

    Thanks,
    GG

    go get FileZila
    thats FTP program
install and run on your computer
get your FTP info from cPanel FTP manager
    and do connect.
than you be able to upload all files at ones and very quick.

Thanks armisoinc.. However I'm guessing it not the stuff found at FileZilla.com?

Will MS frontpage work the same?

Ugh.. I just finished going through and uploading all the files, one-by-one.. only to realize I never clicked the "overwrite existying files" button..

ARgg..... So much time wasted.. I'm gonna try what you said this time 'round..

    Wish me luck!

    Thanks again, for the link.

I've downloaded the program but have no clue what to do now. I'm tyring to figure it out but I now think it might just be easier to manually upload the files.

Is there anywhere to get a step-by-step for this application? The help menu does not work..

Edit: OK I think I got it working now:)

OK, I have everything uploaded. My site is still there and working. . Yay!!

Now I'm stuck on this : Now open phpmyadmin and run the install/vshare-upgrade-20070530-20070625.sql Where is this file located? I can't find it.

OK well I guess it doesnt all work ok. When I click sort channels in the admin panel I get this: Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'Pager/Pager.php' (include_path='/home/gaiagone/public_html/include/PEAR/:.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/gaiagone/public_html/admin/channel_sort.php on line 48

My channel page doesn't work anymore either.

probably because I havn't run that file I cant find, huh? lol

    Thanks,
    GG

Check The Pager folder is available inside folder /home/gaiagone/public_html/include/PEAR/, if not you have not uploaded all files.
