Oops. I didn't even realize the script takes a file. I just ran it... @_@ So what exactly do I do once I run the script? Do I check in Vshare if the video is playing? Or do I download it from the FTP or something?

well you can download 11881589291825703661.flv and try and play it to see if its ok....or rename it the same as the broken one and see if it plays on the site

The video does play and I've discovered what the problem is.

The files will play correctly only if the quality is set low. I figured this out by upload the 22 minute video on FFMpeg using the default quality then using a quality of "2000000" which is about an average quality for a video site to be using. I assume this works the same way with Mencoder since I had by bitrate set on "1400" and the video did not play right. However uploading the very lengthy video with a low quality it will play correctly.

So is there any way to upload large videos in high quality and have it play correctly? Because if I have to lower the quality I have to lower it to such a point where practically everything is blurry.

well i think the real problem is the conversion, higher bitrate means more time and harder for your server to convert.

do you convert in realtime or background with cron?

In the Admin Vshare CP it's set on "Realtime" which is the default.

Edit: Do you have AIM or MSN by any chance?

The only thing in my phpinfo.php was this "<?php phpinfo(); ?>" nothing else that displays seconds or time. I will try background version and see if it works.

Oh. Isn't that information only my host can change?

Is this what I'm looking for?

    default_socket_timeout

If so it is set to 60.
