    Default 16:9 format

I really hope the script will support 16:9 videos soon as it's
quickly becoming the most common format.

16:9 is the ratio. vShare today is using the format of 4:3 ratio.

4:3 is the "old" TV format, but most cameras, TV's etc now film in 16:9 ratio.

    This video is 16:9

The problem is today, that if you upload a video in 16:9 (widescreen)
it gets converted and shown as 4:3.

Doesn't look so good. Hopefully the script can recognize the ration when upload it and convert it accordingly...

Yep me too, and most video making programs have this feature, so the maker can control the aspects...so not seeing this as a major feature to have. If the video isn't made in 16:9 aspect but the player plays them in that format, it just looks odd to me.

It looks very odd indeed. Same thing reversed, a 16:9 video played in 4:3 format.

That's why it's important that the converter/script/player recognises the format and keeps the original ratio.
