Change conversion command ffmpeg/mencoder

I update for the last version and i change the encoder for ffmpeg and many changes ........ and dont work good

I see the videos not good

Is possible to said me the correct format ( mpg, wmv flv ......) to put the videos to see normaly without pixelate.

i resolve the problem

i see the old videos compresed and dont see good but

i put others new videos and go and see very good

can I add a mplayer command to make gif files from the already-converted flvs?

something like this

$ mplayer 12149359421642865625.flv -ss 00:00:01.000 -endpos 00:00:40.000 -vf scale=180:140,framestep=20 -vo gif89a:fps=2:output=out.gif -nosound
