    Default 403 Error during installation

I got all green checks and success

    Checking Default Directories

    • Set permission for DIR chimg to 777 Success
    • Set permission for DIR cache to 777 Success
    • Set permission for DIR flvideo to 777 Success
    • Set permission for DIR include to 777 Success
    • Set permission for FILE include/config.php to 777 Success
    • Set permission for DIR photo to 777 Success
    • Set permission for DIR templates to 777 Success
    • Set permission for DIR templates_c to 777 Success
    • Set permission for DIR thumb to 777 Success
    • Set permission for DIR video to 777 Success

    until I got to

    Configuration file created (include/config.php)
    Continue Installation
I click the button to continue, but get an error page:

Forbidden You don't have permission to access /install/install_create_tables.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
What's wrong and how do I fix it? I already paid the additional $15 for branding removal, so I'd like to finish installing and configuring my site to make it MY site.

    Please advise.

Chmod 755 everything inside of the "install" directory.

Does your site use Cpanel or some other control panel?

It is cPanel. Cirtex Hosting is the hosting company.

This is the only script I've had trouble installing. If I can get it installed and everything works, I'll buy a second one for an additional site.

If your site has Cpanel, make sure that the files in the install directory are owned by the user that you uploaded the files under (or, delete the install directory, unzip vShare again on your computer, and reupload just the install directory.

If you have done all of that and the error still remains, I would send a note to Cirtex. Basically, the problem is due to Apache not being able to access the files in the install directory. Something, somewhere, has an incorrect permission.

Should I change the 644's to 755 as well?

Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it!

    Hi,

    Please try the following,

    rename file install_create_tables.php to install_create_tables.php.old

create new file with name install_create_tables.php with following code

    Code:
    <?php

    echo "test";

    ?>
    See if that working.

If you can't get it fixed, open a support ticket at

    BuyScripts Helpdesk

    with Cpanel login details.

    Thanks
