    Default Remote server: Dailymotion

Hey, is there a way to perhaps change revver or metacafe to dailymotion when uploading videos from a remote server?

80% of my members have dailymotion accounts and have asked about the possibility of adding dailymotion to the list of remote servers?

Is this possible? Does it involve alot of coding? I am familiar with php and sql. If someone points me in the right direction i could try it and post the results.

Thanks - I appreciate the response. But does it really require a support ticket? Is it that difficult to do? I don't want to be wasting anybodies time if i can do it myself.

To add daily motion is a bit more complicated than just adding it to the list. You also have to write code to actually pull the videos from daily motion. Each site operates differently so code has to be written specifically for each site.

We are working on import from dailymotion, you can see the code at

vShare - Feature #232: Import dailymotion videos - vShare

You can download patch file from

    vShare - 232.patch - vShare

This is not tested much, so open support ticket if you face any problem.

In patch file code in green is code added, code in red is code removed. So make the modification as per the patch file.

Got as far as editing upload_embed.php and template/upload_embed.tpl - these dont correspond to any file.
