"search string empty"

Okay, I have seen this for some older installs, but no real answer ezpeciallly for 2.7. I get "search string empty" when trying to perform a search, any help?

I am having the same problem so please someone out there help us. I went though all previous trhead that addressed this and there seems to be a fix out there but all links to the "fix" zip files are old and must be broken since i keep getting a "Forbidden" error message.

I'm having the same problem.

If you type in something it says
"Search string is empty."

but if you click on a tag in the tag cloud. it says.
"Please type a search key"
