Videos Coming Up As Blanks

Hello,

Is there any certain format I should upload a video in? I upload my first test video in .FLV format.

The problem is, the video is coming up as blank boxes throughout the site including the front page. Everywhere except the video player itself.

Can anyone tell me what would cause this error?

Thanks for your assistance with this matter.

P.S. I downloaded the video from YouTube.
