Is it in a frame to keep the background? Frames screw up with search and are really not worth it.

This is a very cool design.

You could make those featured boxes less obvious since the content is more important than the graphic there. It drowns out the content and the eye has no place to settle. The repetition gets a bit much. Then again it is all taste I guess because the general flavor is tasty.
