I think I've got it down fairly well for the time being:

username is kelfan and pw is 311brook - i believe i have that user set to max download of 5 or 6 megs....

Modifications:
various/many templates to remove references to 'family' and the such
changed headers and footers a bit

disabled RSS- though was kind of a 'rig' to do so- as non-members or non-paying visitors can still access the rss feed if left unaddressed- unless perhaps an enable/disable feature can be introduced in the future...

did some multi-pic tables with mapping for the main logo/banner/adv with some anim gifs

added in adengage on the right

put some cutsie crap here and there

worked a little bit with the additional addpage feature.

Please, any feedback or criticism would be greatly appreciated. So far after all the upgrades, fixes, etc- the only major problem i have is in editing paid member subscriptions and admin has assured me they are on a fix. please poke around and let me know.

would be VERY INTERESTED in some way to permit GUEST users to get a bit before being redirected to subscribe- can succeed at this via activating free plan on pay package and limiting this free plan to min download, but would still like for the strolling visitor to see A LITTLE BIT before even having to subscribe for anything.... any advise??

thought paid member edits were fixed in 4th august update?

set your guest limit to how long you want....this is the time it lets guests access the site before redirecting to sign up.

no, i did not do the 4th aug update- will get on it now. unaware polls not working- wonder if issue fixed in this update. am aware of the links page- am jerking around in there now.

have never seen any guest limit setting that made sense... is there something in the aug 4 update? let me get on that update and get back to this post- thanks much.

guest limit is in system settings and i think is the number of seconds the user can access your site before it tells them to sign up.

and leki- i have no problem with the pole----- i hear alot about that here but i dont see it.... pls advise.
