You can do that today. All you have to do is update your player and insert the code from Longtail.

It is not only the player code but more. The page that I need to edit is encrypted (I use 2.6)

No, it's all in your player.inc file (located in your include directory). I know for a fact that you can do because I run it on my site (and have set it up for others). I too use 2.6.
