Problem changing header

Hi guys. I have changed the background color on my header using the header.tpl file, and the colour has changed on some but not all of the pages.
I cannot see shere to change it on the about us, help paes etc or on the groups page. I assumed that changing the header.tpl would make the changes sitewide buy obviously I am wrong. Take a look at my site at http://youvegot2seethis.com and I would appreciate suggestions on how to change the headers sitewide. Thanks

I did use the header.tpl file, thsi is not the first script I've edited thankyou.
The changes how on the Home, upload, channels and friends page. The changes do not show on the About Us, Watch, Help, Advertise, Terms and privacy policy page.
I assumed that by changing the files header.tpl the changes would show on everypage, but they have not.
Can I have a sensible answer as to why this is? I do not appreciate sarcastic comments.

edit footer.tpl and that should be it, and sorry for the sarcasm.
