It's all quite maddening, actually.
I've been trying to upgrade, and have received every error message imaginable.
Isn't there a place I can simply download a fresh install of ver. 2.6??
Sorry for the angst...
Yes, in your purchase email there is the link to downloading the latest version.Originally Posted by central1
I am using v 2.5 on one of my sites and normally in the admin area it tells you if your version of the script is out of date. The 2.5 is not giving me this message. Just thought you'd like to know.
You are using vShare version: 2.5 (DB Version: 2.5) <---that's all it's telling me...no warning about needing to upgrade...

wow the old one works, nice :) thanksOriginally Posted by SportsGamingTV.com
Yeah, would be nice if the site was done with "modules" and the templates (which would be nothing but css) would never need changing...just the modules, where the code resides, would change (leaving the templates unaffected by any updates).

I downloaded the upgrade yesterday and installed it. I assumed that the latest folder would include the fix for the 5-star problem, but it doesn't. The 5-star rating system is not functioning correctly. I'll try overwriting everything with the files from the latest "fresh install" and see if that doesn't fix it (without having to use the actual fix).
UPDATE: I just tried overwriting everything using the files from a "fresh install" of the latest version 2.6 and the 5-star rating is still malfunctioning. However, I didn't actually do a "fresh install"...just overwrote all the existing files, so I don't know if the "fresh install" would include the fix. Anybody know? (PS: Yes, I did the "fix" and its' working now, I just don't know if the latest "fresh install" includes the fix in it...I am assuming it does).
