My profile photo image types

Why are only .jpg files allowed to be uploaded for user profile pictures?

would be good to allow users to use other popular formats such as .gif and .png etc

Yer I agree, it's rather limiting, and for most images gif is the best format!

Yep, agree with Leki. I hit this issue when I tried to upload a gif file to my own profile.

5 photos is better.
