.3gp no sound, .mp4 no thumb

I have gotten hostonnet to do the installation but it seems like .3gp and .mp4 formats are not working properly. .3gp files have got no sound and .mp4 files can't generate thumbnails. Please assist.

*all relevent programs such as ffmpeg and mencoder ffmpeg-php were all installed by hostonnet.

Can you post download link of the original .3gp file you are trying ?

you wont be able to get .3gp to work until mencoder/ffmpeg developers add full support for it

if you have problems with certain video fomats/codecs then installing the latest version of mencoder/ffmpeg and the codec pack can help.
