I am interested in purchasing your product but im a little inexperienced here. Do i need to own and possess a server on my side, or do i just need to make sure the server i am hosting on has the appropriate requirements?

Not all servers support converting video to FLV format. vShare need to convert uploaded video to FLV, for this, you need mencoder and ffmpeg installed on the server. Requirements are

Maybe you didnt understand me. I was asking do i need to own a server myself. I am aware of the requirements to run vshare. So again, do i have to physically possess a server in order to start a site, or do i just have to choose a hosting package that meets your requirements. If anyone else understands the question please post a reply. Im thinking probably that there is a language barrier going on here.

To use the software as admin says you need a host, be it dedicated, semi-dedicated, vps, or shared, so basically top line is you need to host this software with the options I mentioned (End of)

So answer to your question is no.

Have ou ever had hosting or had a website?

I actually already have the package with the host recommended from the page here. I believe its Hostonnet.com anyways i did the video sharing option suggested for this site. So now i just post the script on my page i guess. Thanks i was just confused.

You need the script installed on the server as per instruction given at
