I would much rather have a vbulletin bridge, vbulletin (yes it cost money) is so superb and has so much to offer.

I went with Userplane boards. Everything integrated perfect and I think it's better than other bulletin boards because it's real time. :D

    Maybe.

Go to userplane.com and download the sample code for their boards. Upload them into a directory (I created a boards directory) that is in your root directory. Then follow their instructions to set up the boards. You will need to include the config.php and function.php to the needed files. Also, I made some changes to allow non-members to view the forums.

Instead of going through everything set by set, I will just answer any questions anyone may have if they encounter any problems when they are setting this up.

Also, you can go to my site http://www.lifeonone.com and click on the Forum link in the nav to check it out.

    Hello Everyone,

I have spent sometime working on the forum issue for vshare.
I have integrated mybb with vshare and am finishing up with the bridge for vshare/mybb.

I currently have the registration and login bridges completed.
This allows one username and password and an automatic login to the forum when logging into vshare.

I will be (over the next couple of days) creating the default template for the vshare/mybb integration to match the default template of vshare.

Anyone, who may be interested in seeing the registration and login functions of the bridge in action, can do so on the current project site I am working on this project on here: http://www.sohogig.com

Register a test account of your own and follow the below.

The row of links on the top right of the main vshare page has a forum link. Once you have registered and logged into vshare, click on the forum link to go to the forum.

I hope to have this completed in a few days at the most.
If interested in purchasing, the price will be $19.95 and I can be contacted at bsa_1 at yahoo.com

Thanks and lets make this project a huge success.

    Question

I have a little knowledge in bridging but i will have a try @ smf

I will report any updates in a new topic if i get close to successful!

I am quite a pro with phpbb so if smf does not work out i will move strait to that!!

Wish me luck and i will report back asap!!!
