change paypal from USD to CDN

Is there a way in the payment.tpl to change the Paypal currency from USD to Canadian dollars. I can change my default in Paypal and it will likely do this (maybe) but I use my paypal account for other things and the default USD is best for that purpose. I have another storefront site using my Paypal and it is coded to send a Canadian dollar request. I guess the request would be the same for someone asking for Euros or Pesos or Pounds or whatever. Changing the symbol on the page doesn't actually change what currency is actually charged against the account.
I am using 2.6 now.

There isn't a way to do this in 2.6. In 2.7, you should be able to do so.
