Thumbs up What changes / Language replacements occur during an upgrade to Vshare 2.7

    Why won't someone answer?
I have no problem paying for the upgrade, but I need to know what kind of work I'll have to deal with afterwards? Certainly the developers should know how to answer this question, one that I'm certain anyone with a foreign vShare application would be interested in?

Hi everyone. Before I upgrade to version 2.7 can someone please tell me which items might get mucked up in the existing version 2.6 by the upgrade? My concern is primarily about the translated language files ... will these be overwritten, and if so, will I be able to save and then reuse my existing language file from version 2.6 instead?

Is it possible to obtain a list of file names - now that Zend encoding has been done away with - in order to be able to translate important areas such as currency symbols, hours ago, minutes ago, days ago, months ago, years, and so on? Some of that stuff couldn't be translated in version 2.6 and that does look a little unprofessionell when you're trying to run a language specific site.

Also, our start page has a flash module in place which was purchased and installed separately. Does anyone know if the upgrade to version 2.7 might mess something on the start page up? Our server is up to par, but the flash module shows all of our days top clips in a big 4 X 4 flash block. Would hate to lose that somehow ...

Last but not least, the version 2.7 demo also shows a flash module at the top now. Is this included with the standard version 2.7 upgrade or is that something that needs to be purchased separately? I'd really appreciate some productive answers. Thanks a bunch in advance.

After upgrading the site will look like

    BizHat.com - Share Your Videos

All changed files will be replaced, so the custom work you have made should be done again.

version 2.7 include flash recently viewed script and no need to purchased separately.

Check New Features in vShare 2.7

Thank you. But what about the old language files? Can those be used over or do I have to translate everything again? More importantly though, is it possible to obtain a list of file names in order to finally make translations that couldn't be made with vshare version 2.6 since some of those files were encrypted?

Only you, the developers, would know exactly which files contain some of that information .... unless the new language file in vshare 2.7 now includes EVERYTHING, date and currency information too.

You will need to modify language files for vshare 2.7 to your language. Using existing language file is not easy as it have lot of changes.

This can be find with a search inside text file. There is free tools like ack (perl), grep (linux) that do this.

You need to translate again as there are many changes in language files.

You will be able to find. If you can't find anything, let me know, i can provide the file that contain the string. You could use programs to search inside text files in a folder.

ack -- better than grep, a power search tool for programmers

Is what i use. It work if you have perl installed.
