    Default $view.new_videos

Where is the code that stores or create these variables in the index.php file?
    $view.new_videos
    $view.recent_videos

I am trying to modify one so it is RND() but need to find where these are controlled.

Maybe a differently worded question would be... What exactly do these lines do?

These are variables storing new and recently viewed videos. You can see the code in index.php

Yes, I know they are in the index.php file. But where do the "new" and "recently" come from and where is the content generated or changed?

OK, I found the source I think - the htaccess file. Now why can I not replace the word new with random and get it to generate a random group of videos?
