    Default How do i test the server supports vshare?

    How do I test my web hosting server so that I know it supports these following in order to install vshare?

    * autoconf
    * LAME
    * ffmpeg
    * GD2
    * mplayer+mencoder
    * Ruby
    * flvtool2
    * libogg
    * libvorbis
    * PHP
    * ffmpeg-php

    At the moment I have 2 web host accounts with: ixwebhosting.com and Ipowerweb.com and I dont know any of them support this script. I could ask them but how do I make sure that it would work?

    Thanks!

    Are you planning or are you already on a dedicated server plan or shared hosting, if your on a dedicated server theres a very good chance you can install them your self.

    I have a shared hosting account with ipowerweb.com and ixwebhosting.com. I want to make sure that it works on one of the two accounts before I go shopping for another web hosting.

    Ok i have a bloke who does installs on shared servers, but there are 2 main problems.
    The first is pretty basic, you have to have access to install scripts.
    The 2nd these types of scripts require a fair amount of ram and cpu to run correctly, and sometimes your host may come and disable stuff if your using to much resources.
