Chmod Installation Error

I have followed all the steps here:

I go to mydomain.com/install

and it keeps saying

Chmod the "chimg" DIR to 777 Error

Chmod the "flvideo" DIR to 777 Error

Chmod the "include" DIR to 777 Error

Chmod the "include/config.php" FILE to 777 Error

Chmod the "photo" DIR to 777 Error

Chmod the "templates" DIR to 777 Error

Chmod the "templates_c" DIR to 777 Error

Chmod the "thumb" DIR to 777 Error

Chmod the "video" DIR to 777 Error

I know how to chmod files. I did that around 3 times to double check. I uploaded through binary and I am using file zilla.

What is the problem?

Can you give me some more details on this permission issue? As I have used my host before and never had chmod issues with them.
