Install on localhost

Has anyone been able to install this on a local development environment.I am using wamp and can't even get started.

I get a 500 Internal Server Error when I go the the directory.

You need linux server to install vshare. It is not tested under windows. For the error check in apache log file.

How bout a MAC?

Try and see if it works. Better go with CentOS, RHEL or Fedora.

I will try on my mac.I have a dual boot ubuntu on my windows machine.You did not mention ubuntu could it be good?

I don't have much experience with ubuntu but installed it awhile back.

ubuntu will work. You need to install requirements and setup web server.

Thanks for all your help is ffmpeg etc required to install?I just want to do a skin.

Not for doing skin. Only needed if you need to convert video.
