Thank you. The following may not be a solution, but ....
To correctly reflect this so that everyone understands the favorites issue right away, you (whoever is interested in this) need to navigate to your includes/lang folder ... locate the "en" folder ... and then locate the view_video.php file there.
Open in a text editor, and then place text reflecting the above where it now says ... clip can't be added as favorite.
I went ahead and wrote: "Your own clips can't be included as favorites"
Now THAT fully explains it and it makes sense immediately.
